A live performance film and installation
Directed by Marie d’Elbée and Andrew Bunsell
Inspired by out-of-body experiences, Infinite Body lies at the intersection of film, theatre, music and art installation.
Exploring liminal spaces and transient realities through tactile impressions, shifting spaces, unearthed technoïd rhythms losing themselves in hyper-tactile landscapes, shifting fixed notions of self and matter to access other forms of consciousness.
“and the moon (…) looks at times like an infinite animal landscape. The work explores ideas of universal connectedness and pre-form states, where boundaries between beings and environments dissolve, shifting fixed notions of self and matter.
Inspired by animal behaviours and liminal spaces, the work questions perceptions of presence and time, and explores the textural possibilities of sound and vision.”
and the moon (…) was presented as part of the exhibition Mother Mercury (Art Night Associates 2019), curated by Emily Butler, in Walthamstow, London, UK.
Mother Mercury celebrated the fleeting flows of energy resulting from new life, challenging stereotypical views about parenthood. It brought together artists whose work tests the boundaries of language and power structures, with their practices radically shifted through raising children.
Curated by Emily Butler – curator, writer, translator and parent – Mahera and Mohammad Abu Ghazaleh Curator at Whitechapel Gallery, London. Her area of curatorial research is in translation, in the work of artists who employ different languages (visual and linguistic), transposing from one to another. She is interested in the commonalities, idiosyncrasies and the gaps between languages, cultures and codes.

Constellations is born from the collision between visual arts, live music and theatre. Adapted from a play by Nick Payne, the performance stars Amy Strange and Laurent de Montalembert.
Skin of the Cosmos – an octopus skin expands and becomes the matter of the universe and the universe contracts and becomes an octopus skin
Image and sound expands and contracts. The stage is mapped with thousands of micro dots, like infinitely small particles of space-time responding to the movement of the performers.
The live visual and sound performance explores the hidden mesh of the universe – like the millions of atoms uniting all things.

Connecting East London to the vastness of space-time – channeling other forms of consciousness through a series of performances interweaving electronic music, science-fiction, visuals and an interstellar light installation.
Throughout the night, a sea of Morse messages from participants all over the world were flashed deep into space to the attention of alien intelligence.
The project received special authorisation from Special Air Force so as not to interfere with space traffic – “S.O.S” had to be blocked in the code.

The Third Body is a mutant environment crossbreeding visuals, voice, animal behaviors, science-fiction and electronic music. Coupled with sensations of avalanches and collapsing matter, The Third Body delves into interspecies music and communication : flickering signals, foraging and echolocation, bioluminescence and stroboscopic bacteria.

Following the behavior of an octopus’ skin, the dots morph to mirror the constellations in the sky above on the very night of the installation – time, date and geolocation
